Ekaterina Mtsituridze summarised the results of the Roskino stand in 2018
On 13 March, the International Multimedia Press Centre of the Rossiya Segodnya news agency hosted a press conference on the results of the united stand of Russian filmmakers Roskino Russian Cinema Worldwide in 2018 at international film and television markets. The speaker was General Director of Roskino and TV presenter of Channel One Ekaterina Mtsituridze.
The head of Roskino called the support of young Russian filmmakers an important task of the company. In addition to promoting projects within the framework of the united stand of Russian Cinema Worldwide, the company organised and held cross-platform events, including those aimed at supporting talented young directors and producers. For example, at the Marche du Film market, the Producer Network co-production platform presented five projects by emerging producers from Russia: «Podbrosy» (producer Mila Rozanova), «The Man Who Surprised Everyone» (Ekaterina Filippova), «Dolls» (Ekaterina Mikhailova), «Snow Road» (Sergei Yakhontov), «Crystal» (Ekaterina Tarbo-Ignatenko).
For the seventh year, ROSKINO is a partner of the Marche du Film, the official programme of the Cannes Film Market — the Producers Network. This is an exclusive platform for business communication between international producers, whose projects are pre-selected with the aim of organising co-productions between different countries. This year 6 producers from Russia will take part in this market programme. The Russian delegation will be represented during a special Producers Network Country Spotlight presentation, which will take place 11 May at the venue — Plage des Palmes, Village International. This is the partner programme «Country Spotlight» and this year, thanks to the partnership between ROSKINO and Producers Network, a «Country Spotlight on Russia» is planned accordingly, which means that Russian projects selected for this section will be a priority. Producers include: Ekaterina Filippova («Pan Atlantik»), Mila Rozanova (New People Film Company), Ekaterina Mikhailova («Vega Film»), Sergey Yakhontov (Stereotactic), Ekaterina Tarbo-Ignatenko (Viva Films) and Nadezhda Gorshkova (Liga Films, Viva Films) and Boris Mashkovtsev (Soyuzmultfilm).
